My Bio
Hello, my name is Jamie Costner. My preferred art is pencil line art, but I'm developing my ability to draw more dynamic art. I love super technical, high detail, symmetrical art. My biggest inspirations are M.C. Escher and k04sk (Kalos) here on dA. Currently, I'm looking at expanding my skills from basic lineart to drawings of more depth. During this process od growth, I've realized that what I enjoy about my drawings is not what the majority of people enjoy about my drawings. And while it is good for me to enjoy them, what good is it if no one actually peers into your art? My goal is to go from having people glance at it to having people look closely at it, wanting to ask me questions.

Hello everybody! I have been swamped with school and vacations and stuffs and I'm sorry I haven't uploaded much lately. I haven't been able to do much art except for in art class at school. But I am still drawing.
So. If you want me to draw you something, I will gladly do it, but this time it wont be for free. We can negotiate payment via notes. As for what I will and will not draw, I will draw just about anything you want except for people. I can draw individual body parts, but not people.

Several weeks back, an author contacted me asking if he could use one of my drawings for the cover of his first book. I didn't get this email until three weeks afterward. I responded saying, "yes", but it was too late and he had already found someone else for the job. But, because he really liked my drawing and because it went well with his story, he said he would probably use it for his website (this is a link to his site, I'm mentioned at the bottom), and for an alternate cover for the book, or for a future book in the series. Okay, the truth comes out... I've just been too lazy to draw lately. Plus I've run out of ideas. SO, to get myself motivated, I'm going to open commissions and requests. If you want me to draw something in particular, I will do my best to draw it. It may take a while, but I will get it done! I will need you to be fairly specific, an example being if you wanted a tree, I'd be looking for something like "I want it to be in the shape of a tree with the colors matching the areas where they would be naturally." It can be pretty much anything except for people. Also, I'm thinking about doing backgrounds on my drawings in photoshop. If you want one
